The Signal Hill Police Department is constantly
striving to enhance the department's ability to provide an optimum level of
service to the community and to further open channels of communication
between the department and the citizens of Signal Hill. The Police Volunteer Program is committed to providing qualified volunteers to support and enhance this service. We will tailor the Police Volunteer Program to meet the specific needs of our City. With the active participation of concerned citizens working with the police department, the Police Volunteer Program will increase the quality of life for all those living and working in the city of Signal Hill. Pride and service to the community is the hallmark of the Signal Hill Police Department. |

| Under a new comprehensive program, we are seeking to involve the police volunteers in nearly every area of police services. | ||||||

| In the past 12 months, the Police Volunteers have contributed over 6,000 hours and driven over 9,700 miles. In total, the estimated value of the Police Volunteer Program to the City for the 12 month period is approximately $200,000. | ||||||
